basic Rules to the game

players 6v6

Run or pass as you please.

QB has 5 seconds (10u and 12u) 6 seconds (8u) and 8 seconds (6u)  to pass the ball or play will be blown dead and  loss of down.

Defense can blitz whenever they feel, blitzing player MUST be at least 7 yards from the line of scrimmage to be eligible to blitz.

If a team throws an interception and opposing team is allowed to advance the ball until their flag is pulled or they score a TD.

Mid field is the 1st down

4 downs to get first down

After 1st down you have 4 downs to get touchdown (No play calling restrictions)

You can opt to go for 1 extra point or 2 after touchdown

All extra point plays must be pass plays.

1 point plays are from the 2 yard line.

2 point plays are from the 5 yard line.

Each team gets 3 timeouts per game.

There will be a 30 second play clock, if a team does successfully get a play off in time it will result in a 10 yard penalty.

Overtime rules:

In the event a game ends in a tie each team will have the opportunity to possess the ball for 2 drives starting at mid-field 4 downs must score a TD.  ( we will do a coin toss to determine who get the ball first) If the game happens to still be tied after the overtime period the game will then end in a tie.

Example: if team 1 gets the ball first scores a touchdown, and executes a successful 1 point conversion. Team 2 will then get the ball and have 4 plays to tie the game. If team 2 successfully ties the game, team 1 will then get the ball back at mid field to try and score again. The only way team 1 wouldn’t get the ball back for a second time is if team 2 scores a TD and has a successful 2 point conversion, then team 2 will have one by 1 point.
